As a community member, the Santa Clara-Ivins Police Department formally invites you to participate in the Kickball with the Cops Tournament. This event is designed as a fundraiser to benefit families in need within our community, and this year we are helping one of our own by bringing in extra funds not provided through the traditional funding sources.
Lisa Bundy is the Santa Clara City Court Clerk, and her daughter Mckenize Dillon was diagnosed with Leukemia as a child back in April 4, 2006. Kenzie made it almost 10 years cancer free. Now she fights a different fight, Malignant Paraganglioma. We guess cancer forgot who it was messing with and came back for another round.
There are two ways you can get involved. The first option is by sponsoring a local police, fire or other public safety team or forming a community kickball team. The second option is by becoming one of our supporting donors.
Sponsoring/Forming a Kickball Team:
Come show us what you’re made of as you battle it out against different public safety teams from Police, Fire, EMS, and even 911 Communications. It’s kind of like the Harlem Globe Trotters of kickball if you will. As you compete against the different public safety department teams, you’re sure to have a great time and lots of fun.
Here’s is what you need to know when forming a kickball team:
Ø Each team should have one Captain and one Co-Captain; team captains are responsible for their teams and are the only players allowed to approach the referee.
Ø Minimum number of players to register on team is TEN (10).
Ø Maximum number of players to register on a team is EIGHTEEN (18).
Ø All players should be at least fourteen (14) years of age or older. However, the Coordinator reserves the right to lower that age limit under certain circumstances.
Ø All teams must be registered and paid prior to the start of their first game. No refunds will be given once the schedule is completed.
Ø Every team must submit a team roster prior to their first scheduled game. A player may be added or deleted from a roster.
Ø All persons directly or indirectly involved in our program are expected to act in an adult-like manner and display proper sportsmanship. Games may be forfeited due to poor behavior.
There is a registration fee of $300 per team (includes team bracelets to show our support).
Become a Supporting Donor:
As a supporting donor, this event is guaranteed to give you great exposure with the public and an opportunity to showcase your business to hundreds of people, while showing your support for victims of traumatic injuries and families in need living within our community. Without the support of local businesses, the Santa Clara-Ivins Police Department wouldn’t be able to help these local families in our community.
What you get as a Supporting Donor:
Ø Company banner at event, logo on the scoreboard, etc.
Ø Company name mentioned in radio spots and community event calendars.
Ø Company name and logo “Shout Out” on our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more).
Sponsorship fee is $300
Thank you for all you do for our communities, your generous donation, time and support.
